Impressive numbers for the Tories and quite a switch from the earlier poll showing a slip to a 6 point lead. With more platform planks announced over the weekend we could see this move around quite a bit in the next week or two. It is too early yet to make a prediction of a Conservative majority. It does make it look even more remote that the Liberals could unseat the Conservatives as the party in power.

One poll says 14, another says 6.

I guess even the pollsters cant be honest anymore.

The article also notes that this poll was mostly completed BEFORE the Liberals announced their platform.

$1:
But it’s still too soon to say whether the Liberal platform will have an impact on the race. The tracking poll, which combines samples conducted over the last three days, was conducted April 1 to 3, and many of Sunday’s survey interviews were completed in the afternoon, only hours after Mr. Ignatieff released his manifesto.

Time will tell to see if Iggy hit a home run or struck out.

Iggy doesn't have that home run issue or promise.

A lot of old promises recycled and new promises that aren't being talked about.

14 points, 6 points, who gives a shit. The fact of the matter is that after we finish this evolution in futility, we're gonna be right back where we started, at square one.

A Minority Conservative Government.

The only things differnt will be the leaders. Iggy will be gone for losing again and Harper will be chastised for not being able to win a majority, so both parties will start looking for new leaders.

The only constant will be Jack Laytons unrealistic promises and Gilles Duceppe's constant whinning.
