Why is it now we have so many advocates making so many excuses for these child delinquents. Pretty soon anybody under 16 will have an excuse for committing crimes..'Oh I had a bad childhood', 'Mommy and Daddy took away my cellphone or x-box'. I am sick of all of these damn excuses for kids that seem exempt from any responsibility. How about this..Kid commits the crime, parents do the time. See how long it would take for the kids straightening out.

However, the proposed changes are also being blasted by the Canadian Bar Association and other groups who say many youth behind bars need treatment for conditions such as fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and its resulting behavioural challenges.

Nick Bala, a law professor at Queen's University in Ottawa, said he will be appearing before the standing committee on Wednesday to argue against Bill C-4.

And once again the profession with the most to gain by having these little miscreants become full time clients rears it's ugly head.
