VANCOUVER — Kelowna RCMP is urging the public to remain calm during a planned protest march Sunday after reading blogs that suggested "civil disobedience may erupt" in the Okanagan city.
The march, scheduled for noon, is in response to a recent video that showed Buddy Tavares on his knees allegedly being kicked in the head by a Kelowna RCMP officer.
Apparently extra cops will be on hand to guard the protest. Gee, maybe we'll get another G20 type situation, with
some cops emulating ocifer kick in the face. Civil disobedience does not merit violence by police, it is by definition peaceful. Haul em off to jail for disruption or whatever, but going ape on them will just make the cops look even worse.
