Stupid story, then consider the source. I mean who cares if he failed a truck dirving course. Would things really have turned out different if he had passed it? I don't think he was trying to drive safely.

The Toronto media has a real boner for anything police related. I guess they're trying to make the appearance of comming across as balanced since they've had months of cops are bad stories.

Not a stupid story at all. Gives at least a bit of a picture of this guy. He seems to have descended into homelessness and craziness very fast - running around barefoot in the snow, etc. Sounds like he was always a bit strange, but not enough to worry a doctor. Also sounds like he was trying to keep up appearances as things were falling apart for him, so likely the doc didn't investigate all that thoroughly. But he wouldn't really have any reason to. Doubt if we'll ever be able to identify guys like this before they act out.
