Canadian justice, especially when it comes to sending convicted women to prison, is a f...ing joke.
Now, if it had been a drunken man who had killed that poor, little girl...

A guy just got 8 years for a drunk driving killing in Quebec. He was a very good man. Never had any other offence. He was even a volunteer for driving drunk people home in the Holydays season. He got a promotion, drank a little too much and made that big mistake.

2.5 years is a joke.

40 years of precedent setting minimul sentences, made this one a no brainer for the judge.

Apparently she's not to happy with having been given anytime and is appealing and should be out on bail by next week at the latest. So given our screwed up judicial system, I can see her doing next to no time, little own 2.5 years.

2/3 of 30 months is of course 20 months. Which, is the prerequisite 2/3 of sentence before parole.EXCEPT for a little known clause-if the offense is the first for the convicted person they are only required to serve 1/6 of their sentence in secure custody before release. In this case, expect this stupid bitch to serve only 5 months!

We just had a guy here sentenced to 7 years for hitting a guy once. Now that once punch cause the guy to fall backwards and hit his head so he's now brain damaged. And it was a gay bashing. But the victim isn't dead, it was one punch. Is the harm to a gay man really that much greater than killing a 4 year old girl?

We've had shit kickings here in BC that put the victim in a wheelchair for life - sentences were minimal. When 3 native kids beat she shit out of a white kid, ending his chances of a pro golfing career and permanent brain damage, the 2 juveniles got 3 months house arrest and the adult got 2 years. But punch a gay man once, and you get serious time.

Conclusion: attack a white straight guy = no fucking sentence to speak of. Hit a gay man once, and that's it for you. Some victims are more equal than others, some attackers are more equal than others. All of it is bullshit.
