$1:
It has a total of 532 inmates -- 503 of them are housed in medium-security units, and 166 in maximum-security.

Maybe I've just had a really long week, but that just doesn't quite add up to me. :?

It's called journalism, you know that medium where they don't let actual facts get in the way of a story?

But, after reading the article and using my mastery of grade one mathematics, I came to the same conclusion you did. 8O

What are you guys talking about? It adds up, it means that many of the inmates suffer from dissociative identity disorder.
$1:
Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a condition in which a person displays multiple distinct identities or personalities (known as alter egos or alters), each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment.
As to why they forgot to include this very obvious piece of information is beyond me, since journalist are so smart and always know the truth

I was shocked by this:

$1:
Inmate Courtney Dallas Cook was killed in the violence. He was serving about a two-year sentence for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and failing to comply with a probation order.

A 2-year sentence for homicide? Absent a Robert Latimer-like mitigating circumstance, all criminal homicides should be automatic life in prison, no parole.

Good incentive if you're not aboriginal to not commit crimes in Saskatchewan. Don't do it.....
