The Tamils are supporting a terrorist group and should be booted from Canada.

More are coming btw.

$1:
David Poopalapillai, the national spokesperson for the Canadian Tamil Congress, said his organization routinely hears from Tamils who have been burned trying to get out of Sri Lanka.

Boohoo.

You want to go to the head of the line at the expense of every legitimate refugee, then you take your chances and if you want our sympathy, then at least have the decency to quit going back to the Homeland on business trips and holidays while claiming to be refugees fleeing from oppression.

When Mr. Poopalpillai explains that one rationally I may believe him, but, until then, he's just another terrorist spin doctor, who's been given free reign by our spineless politicians to ply his misinformation campaign in our Country.

Come on now...

Someone went through a lot of effort to write that story to appeal to your humanitarian side and make you feel for these poor, helpless, victimized souls who now have more benefits than our elderly who have worked their asses off their entire lives in our country, so you'll embrace the poor ESLers when they enter Canadian society. Their new home. A place where they feel safe, nurtured and know that their children can start up a new gang and not face any persecution for their crimes under our Youth Offenders Act.

Now go to your room, think about that and then we'll wait for the next boat load to show up.

but but but but but.

I'm sorry........... :(

I guess I should never have said all those nasty things about the law abiding, Tamil yachtsmen who, by virtue of their outstanding monetary ability and honesty should always be placed first in line when it comes to refugee status in Canada.

I for one feel it is awfully rude of us to expect them to risk a trans-Pacific crossing on some rickety old tubs. We should immediately send a fleet of small ships to Sri Lanka and just bring everybody who wants to come back.
Would that make Mr. Pooponmyheadly feel better?

Just don't tell them about the C4 attached to all the hulls rigged to blow in a terrible "accident".

Why small ships? There's millions that want to come over there. So we should revitalize our ship building industry by building a fleet of large cruise ships to ferry them here. Or, re-nationalize Air Canada and devote it's fleet to flying them here - so much more convenient than a sea voyage.

Well I said small ships cuz we don't really have a lot of big ones and it would be frightfully inconsiderate of us to make them wait til our ship building industry got into full swing.
Flying them in would be no good. We need to give them time to "lose" their IDs and think up a bullshit excuse why they want in. A nice slow sea voyage would ensure they have both those opportunities.

Actually, as people have pointed out to excuse the Tamils, we take in far more people of the kind that you describe every year by air travel than by these boats.

Yea CTV and CBC, we get it. You love the Tamils and any other 'refugee' queue jumping cheats.

It's just the Canadian public who don't.

We only have to get the cabin crew go around with a basket where they can drop their ID's in, and then burn them in the bathroom. The smoke alarm might get off, but that can be turned off again, right? Just flush the toilet, and problem solved :D
