OMFG !!!

Newf, I'm a little surprised you would post this, cause all it really does it demonstrate the complete destruction of the British Car Industry, and also the looming end of British Manufacturing..

Not something to be promoted. :(

So here goes:

Mini -- owned by BMW
R.R. -- Tata
MG -- some Chinese company, not sure which.. but that car is NOT British.. at all

Lotus -- Proton in Malaysia.. and that car is ugly ;)

Jensen -- bankrupt

Jaguar -- Tata

Ford never was British..sorry
It's like trying to say Vauxhall is British.

Lotus -- Proton again

Rolls -- owned by BMW

Now Mclaren is a British company, but they arent really in the business of making road cars.

A rather depressing list of what was.

sorry.

It does say Iconic not modern! I know the British Auto industry is down the pan, which is very unfortunate, sad in fact.

I'm more into bikes anyway!

They mixed up truely iconic cars like the E type with modern crap. The iconic cars are all the older models, not the new stuff. Owning a BMW mini might be fashionable, but you're not owning an icon.

The one car company that I can think of is Morgan - there's an iconic car for you. Probably some other smaller manufacturers that I don't know about.

I've been waiting for a month now to see what they're going to list it at, cause if I could afford the gas for that massive 6.75 Litre Turbo I'd have seriously thought about buying it. 8O

I love Bently's. Completely impractical, but I still love them. I have a friend who has been tossing between an older Bently or an older Rolls.

I just curse his indecisiveness, if he could afford either, PICK ONE!

For me it's the Bentley. I watched the documentary on the building of a Bentley and from that moment on my mind was made up. Hell even the hand painted pinstripping is an excess.

I'd go for Noble/TVR or something of that ilk. All well beyond my budget but I can dream. And just remembered Aston Martin, can't forget them.
