Cool, I never knew they had anything like this. My suggestion is they immediately get their Iroquois nation's UN rep to bring this up at the UN and contact the Iroquois High Commission in London to complain. Should be cleared up pretty easy from there.

Q, you need a passport to travel outside North America.

A real one, from a real government, not some bullshit wampum tree leaves.

They can choose; be American and travel, be Canadian and travel, or be Iroquois and stay the fuck on the reserve, cause serious countries dont recognize their

Blah it could be something a lot less sexy than discriminating against natives. Regulations changed in some area may have just deemed these by consequence no longer respected, the regulation might apply to many other things as well, who knows. .while I can only see the front cover they sure look cheap and likely easy to forge, which is a bad thing for international travel.

Plus who knows how many Russian and Mussad spies are running around with these things? lol

If they're too special to get a real passport, they're probably too special to be mingling with the "other" athletes anyway. Let the team stay home and be special together.

I suggest we immediately re-allocate our foreign aid resources away from this nation - they make enough money gambling and selling smokes. Also, put up border controls around this nation - it's been well documented that a lot of illegal activity moves from this nation into ours. Plus, these nationals have been known to just settle in Canada without an immigration permit. Time to institute visas for these people, just like we do with Mexico.

To be fair the Canadian and US border crossing have been "tolerating" people showing these at the borders as ID, probably because no one wants to have to put up with a bunch of unemployed people picketing their crossing if they said get bent. However this doesn't mean that foreign nations are required to accept them. It's a bit of a slippery slope because if they did then every ethnic group in the world would start issuing them (i.e. Romani in Europe; Aboriginal in Australia; Mayan descendants in Central America).

I agree in principle. Problem is that these passports are not likely to have the security features of Canadian or US passports, so they will be an easy target for forgers and other criminal types.

They may consider themselves sovereign, but they are not. Sorry, that's the reality. They are subject to the laws of Canada and the US, and any exceptions they have to those laws come at the good grace of Canada and the US (oh, and England via the Proclamation of 1763).

is it possible that one or two might be unable to obtain legal travel documents. Everyone else in the world now has to carry documentation and worry about no fly lists, so why the hell should they be exempt? They're not in Canada, so they shouldn't expect that they are exempt from the law.
