Flames were in the hunt for Spezza but it sounds like Brian Murray wants him to stay a Senator. Too bad for Spezza. And too bad for the Flames because if they don't do something big (trade to better drafts picks or for much better players e.g. Spezza) before this season starts then they are well and truly fakt for the next few years.

A group of 16 year old puck bunnies at the Oiler draft party said that they were going out today to get themselves new Oiler sweaters with Hall and #4 on the back.
They better check out some Oiler history before they blow a couple of hundred on that venture.

Yeah! Now Edmonton just needs a reliable goaltender, a couple d-men and four or five better forwards.
Only time will tell if they picked the right guy...and given the Oilers recent draft history, they probably didn't.
