From the few guys out there I have heard from this sounds accurate but they are committed to doing a good job all the same. Not only do they have to deal with their internal RCMP bureaucracy and the media attention from a couple of twits that fell through the cracks but there is also this constant rumour that BC will not renew their contract in teh province and start looking at a provincial police force again. Lots of reasons I don't see that happening but its just another stress they have to deal with.

As someone in the comments section said, this is true of a lot of public servants.

60% of B.C. RCMP staff considered quitting

and the other 40% are being investigated.

Actually it's not funny that a proud service has fallen so far, but when you lower standards and expectations this is what happens.

Smacle Smacle:

Don't forget the Navy and the Air Force. You can't overburden people because of manning constraints for an extended period and expect them to be happy about it.

I can actually remember when the Navy had a one man one billet policy, fuck I must be getting old.
