When the van entered Hinton, it was going east in a westbound lane of Highway 16 at about 140 km/h. It passed through red lights, and after a little over a kilometre it swerved back into the eastbound lanes, Purvis said.

The van continued in the eastbound lanes for about 1.2 kilometres before it veered back across the road so it was again travelling against oncoming westbound traffic.

The guy was out of control. Too bad an innocent person died, I have no sympathy for the thief. I'm not sure what else the police are supposed to do in instances like this.

Just can't make everyone happy. Independent investigation clears the RCMP and yet they are still look upon badly. Never mind the POS who started the chase or the fact that the whole event took place in 12 and half minutes. But that's right once again slag the police, after all it always their fault
