Again, I add this link because it's a popular story in Quebec and I had trouble to find english news for it.
This is Dany Villanueva. I went to Montreal with his family at 12. He joined a gang (blue, red, whatever) and he has a quite long criminal record.
In 2008, he was "playing dices" at midnight on a weekday in a park. Policemen went to say to them that the park was closed but the police recognized Villanueva and knew he had a curfew and he should not be there. The guy began violent and his brother (Fredy Villanueva) jumped on the policeman. The other persons tried to take advantage of the chaos but the other policeman feeled threatened and decided to get the gun out and fired shots.
Fredy Villanueva, the younger brother of Dany, got killed.
Last weekend, Dany got arrested for drunk driving, possession of drugs and "breaking" of conditions because he was with people he was not supposed to be with.
He his now being expulsed, at last. Who could be against that ? Well, we have hundreds of people with Tshirts and signs outside the Court to protest...
