Instead of spending all that money couldn't they just ask the guy in Edmonton? :wink:

Indeed.Maybe we should accelerate the Edmonton guy and see what happens?

Actually, they always get it wrong. Peter Higgs reffered to the particle he seeks as 'that god DAMN' particle. But the editors of his papers and books thought to remove the 'damn'.

So the search is really for the Higgs Boson, that God Damn particle.
