Adapt to Canada, Canada does not have to adapt to you. Also the BS about letting a kid carry a dagger to school. How the hell did they win that? Every other parent should have pulled thier kids until the dagger was removed, or maybe say everyone could carry a dagger. Religious freedoms my ass.

In a setting that's not necessary, I don't have a problem with a girl/woman willingly choosing to wear that. I'll never agree to it, I think it represents repression etc etc, but they have that choice. Of course, they must be WILLING. Being forced to under threats of beating, then yeah, that's another story.

However, if this story was about a young Jewish/Sikh boy refusing to be checked for lice due to their head covering, and no amount of accommodation that is reasonable is acceptable, then I'd support the school in their expulsion as well. There is only so much schools can do with limited resources.

Even in a country like Turkey, that has a secular government, but it 98% muslim, headcoverings, even a headscarf, are not allowed in government buildings, including schools, cityhalls, that kind of thing. Why should a secular country, that has a mostly christian population, bend over backwards here?

$1:
"I have three kids, and now, I am very nervous, and they're crying, and I have quite a problem," Naema said.
Nervous. Oh, oh, that should be good for a few mil from the human rights commission.

$1:
Naema came to Canada from Egypt with her husband and wants to learn French so she can get work as a pharmacist in Quebec. Currently, she has permanent resident status.
Would you have your prescription filled by somebody that looks like that? When the pharmacy refuses to hire her because of the niqab, she can sue again for discrimination. Then she can try to enter the Miss Canada pageant and sue again when she is refused. She's got a good thing going.

Viva le Quebec !!!!! [flag] [flag] [flag]

Bravo to the Quebec Govt! [B-o] PDT_Armataz_01_37 PDT_Armataz_01_37

I don't say that very often. It is about time people stand up for their culture. Adapt to Quebec,Canada. If you can't stand their "filthy ways" go back to Egypt where it is legal to beat you.

I wouldn't want to be served by a medical professional wearing a hood; would you?

Agree on this.

About time that someone is taking a stance. There is simply too much political correctness.

Oh yea, they had that ''chick'' on Radio Canada (French CBC).

She was really careful with her words. The fact that she went to the HRC, probably she will want some money from all this.

I am wondering tho. If she wants to become a pharmacist, does she expect to get her study paid for? Because if she gets it, I should get it too.

I want to file a human rights complaint when I talk to a lady with a Niqab. That she is not respecting me as a human by not showing me her face and that she is forcing her religion on me.

Plus I find it extremely insulting when someone is not willing to show me their face when they talk to me.

Good for Quebec for letter this woman understand that religion has no place in our schools
