I agree. It's A-OK in my book for a Canadian to be happy about a win in sports.

Bursting displays of patriotism among journalists over the last two weeks has given the country some cringe-worthy Olympic moments, especially for those who cling to the notion of journalistic independence and objectivity.

They are only human... and Canadian. i have seen reporters get emotional when they report on tragedies why can't they get excited when they report on something wonderful.
