With all those guys in close quarters, especially in the 70's, you've got to figure there was/is a fair bit of buggering going on, same as with prisoners, cowboys etc.

I think it increase the incidence of it - not that it doesn't happen outside of those situations, either. But when there's no women around, it seems a lot of the guys don't mind going all DC and all. Public, I mean private schools - forgot about those.

Rigid power structures probably don't help either.
