Frankly, I was amazed he lasted this long. When I heard about the stroke I knew it was grim but then he was up and about they said. Here for a good time, not a long time. The boys will be a helva mess thou.

That is very sad...he was a tough fella and lived his life on his terms, can't ask for much better then that I guess. Rest in Peace Captain Phil.

Unfortunatly given some of his bad habits he cut short the length of his life. I enjoyed watching him and his crew and he did live life well.
I feel sorry for his family. His will be missed by a lot of people.

That's too bad. I've always enjoyed watching Deadliest Catch and he was certainly one of the best on the show. At least he seemed to live the life he wanted to and on his terms.
