It sounds like there was more than the N word issue at play here. I'd like to hear from the victim before we start feeling sorry for the assailant.

If what this guy says is true, he likely would have walked with a slap on the wrist if he hadn't had such an overwhelming anger issue that it caused him to go back and stomp the victims head in.

So if some 'person of colour' refers to a caucasian as whitey, cracker or honky, they could expect a similar sentence for responding the same way? The guy should be in jail. It doesn't even mention the race of the guy who used the supposed slur. There are plenty of blacks who are always referring to each other as 'niggah' in a friendly/familiar way.

It was one of the Rush Hour movies that had Chris Tucker walking into a black bar and greeting everyone with said term, and then leaving Jackie Chan while he talked to his buddies. Then Jackie naively used the same greeting and those two of you who haven't seen the movie can guess what happened.

I dont know the situation, maybe the black guy started to insult the other guy first. But if the white guy shouted the N-word whitout reason to the black guy, then he got what he deserved.

Whatever the word you use, if you insult someone you dont know for no valid reason,then dont start to cry if you get an ass-beating.

That makes no sense, regarding the if a white guy shouted the N-word out that it's not usually in a friendly way but when a black guy sais it, it is. The word is the same no matter who sais it, if it isn't a insult when a black guy sais it. Than they shouldn't take offensive when a white guy sais it. Not trying to demean the word or anything, just saying that the meaning it the same no matter who sais it.

Anyways, if a black guy called me a cracker or w/e. Does this give me the right to beat his head in unti'll he dies? Although I probally would get more prison time than a lousy 2 years than the guy, you know for being white and by world definition. More capable of racism.

If he doesn't want to, at least make your intentions clear that you'll fight him.

Thats just it, I hear it all the time with these little high school g-star wannabes and their black freinds, the article in our city paper claimed the two were a bit more than aquaintences so perhaps it's something like that.
I have black friends and would never presume to use this word with them.
