They can fucking go back and continue the struggle for independence in Sri Lanka any goddamn time. I'll even lobby my MP for the government to pay their airfare. Fuck off.

Excellent strategy! Declare war for independence, lose war, ignore that reality and substitute your own. ![titanic [titanic]](./images/smilies/tit.gif)

Wow, this is an exercise in futility if I've ever seen it. $1: "This will, they hope, give them a stronger political voice both on the world scene and also on the Canadian scene, in the sense that they can say to the government: 'This is what Tamil Canadians — who are Canadian voters after all — want,'" said Arthur Sheps, a history professor at the University of Toronto. Really professor? You really think a vote amongst a special interest group, that quite frankly isn't looked too kindly upon by the citizens of their newly adopted country, with a predictable result is going to have any sway with anyone? That vote result plus $1.10 will get them a coffee at McDonalds. $1: Tamilnet.com, a pro-Tamil website, reported that Adam Giambrone — a Toronto councillor who is considering running for the city's mayoralty next year — gave the vote his blessing. I guess he'll have to live with his decision to back a terrorist organization. $1: A group of 29 Canadians plan on holding a vote in April to elect Tamil representatives to a de facto government-in-exile. And who is suppose to listen to this government-in-exile? Do any of these people have jobs?

Always did amaze me that when something is going on back in the old country, people protest, burn shit and get violent over here. If they're so concerned about the old country, shouldn't they be there doing something? Doing stuff here is, well, worthless.

Get Out, Get Out, Get Out. Spineless morons who are accomplishing nothing by being here. Their so called vote establishes the fact that they are indeed Tamil Tigers and should be sent out of Canada as terrorists and forced to face the facts back in good old Sri Lanka.

They make money here, to send it "back home" for their comrades to buy arms, grenades, bombs, whatever. The Irish created this, and the Palestinians perfected this technique I believe.

Aye, long gone are the days when immigrants would shut the fuck up about the old country, and get busy making Canada a better place. Gotta love those 99.8% votes though, ranks right up there with: Soviet Russia Saddam Hussein Robert Mugabe And this vote should treated in the same light.....
