That's an effective and gutsy move but it's going to probably cost some casualties.

Wont work, with Canada and the USA having pull out dates the Afghans know we are going to leave them to the mercy of the Taliban in a few years

That's 2 years to get a head start on the taliban and we will be moving out in such a way that all our gear will remain protected, so some security folks will remain.

The other thing that I'm thinking is that Omaba, and probably Harper, will be stepping up the special forces side. It's training for the Afghans, their perfect for this role and they also don't show up often in the news. Maybe we'll even have turned Pakistan by then.
