Good for Harper and Canada. We need to diversify and India is a far better trading partner than China.

Screwed us how? They used our technology to produce a nuclear weapon. Do you feel the current government is costing us jobs for not selling reactors to Iran?

Stupid.

Seems like a giant waste of taxpayers money to travel to Mumbai, when all he had to do was go to Surrey.

Absolutely. India's growth is also far more balanced than China's. China's growth is very bubbly (asset bubbles, property value inflation etc) and faces a risk of collapse in the future.

Also it would make more sense to return to the grassroots of supporting and increasing trade with democracies, not pandering to dictatorships for convenience.

there is no need to call me stupid just because you disagree or dont understand me.

Historically, Canada failed to put in the tracking and regulating that was put into place by the NSG. If Canada had handled this transaction more responsibly, it would have ensured that the material was not used for bomb just like the NSG has for the last several decades.

By botching this deal, India was allowed to play with fire, resulting in a lost customer for a Canadian Industry. Futhermore, it left an air of lost credability to the Canadian nuclear industry.

At what cost? thousands of Canadian jobs.

What's wrong with following the Americans "lead" if it's a good idea ? You seem like an anti-american by saying that.
