Project Hero scholarships are also being offered by Memorial University in Newfoundland, the University of Ottawa, the University of Windsor and the University of Calgary.

Really nice to see this kind of stuff.

How things have changed for the Canadian military since I got here in 1994.

SIAST Kelsey here in Saskatoon is doing the same thing. Looks like McMaster or whoever did it first spawned an excellent idea.

This is an awesome idea. Kudos to ALL the universities that have taken part in this program. I hope they don't ever quit doing it.

I think this is an awesome guesture, but isn't it an admission that the military's life insurance plan is inadequate?

How many life insurance plans pay for a university education? I can't think of any.

Good for my school.

Honestly, for some of the stupid shit universities put money into, I'm rather glad some schools see actual rewarding uses for tuition dollars
