Just looks like parents and school officials believing that teenagers can't think for themselves. We've had the same problems in the UK and it's even gone up to the universities now with all the anti-war student groups campaigning to stop recruiting and even the officer cadet units.

$1:
The kiosks at the English Montreal School Board's annual career fair yesterday included several local CEGEPs and the McDonald's restaurant chain.

Ya they want the Military out, but the are totally fine with the kids getting a Mc-Career.

The military should pull out...of Quebec. Close all the bases and move their troops and their payrolls to provinces who appreciate the military. Much the same has been done in the USA where the lion's share of base closures in the past 18 years have been in liberal, anti-military states.

A lot of Quebecers are in the military though. From what I hear on the news, lots of soldiers killed in Afghanistan are from Quebec :?

This happens at alot of universities across the country, Quebec is no exception.

Its stupid though, the military is a valid career just like any other, to say its not needed is just asinine.

Bart is just talking out of his.... oops, my mouth almost got me in trouble again.

The group out of Valcartier, Quebec, left in April and came back this month.
I don't have the numbers, but quite a few lost their lives there.
They were replaced by a group from Edmonton, I believe.
The last soldier that died this week is from that group.

To get back to Bart, I have a lot of family that fought in WW1 or WW2.
Some died, others came back.
My father served 25 years, and I have uncles that served and cousins that are still in the forces.
My son was lucky and survived 2 IEDs on his tour.

Bart's right to an extent.

Maybe citizens of Quebec need to get a grip on their schools then. There's something definately wrong when McDonnalds is more "Canadian" and more valued as an employer than the Canadian forces.

All good stuff Raydan, I can pretty much put up the same resume, but who the fuck cares?
Getting WAY off topic
This type of shit is alwys happening in Quebec, takes nothing away from the comerades in arms I and my predecessors served with who were born in the province, most of them have no time for dick head french men that do this shit anyways.

And by the way.. the heading of this article is like many others, misleading.. a group is hardly representative of the province of Québec
