I dont see what all the fuss is about, if you want the vac take it if you dont, dont. You know its a slow news week when the biggest story is if you should get a flu shot.

I so don't agree with you I don't think it should be mandatory to get a shot, I think it should be voluntary, and guilting me into getting one ain't working. I live in the boofucking middle of nowhere, there are not enough vaccines to vaccinate everybody, I rather see sick and distressed people, healthcare workers, elderly and all other less strong of health people vaccinated first. Are you of the opinion too, that if you don't take the flu shot, you are guilty of murder if someone you don't know dies?

Truth of the matter is the ful kills more people in general than the H1N1 strain has so far, I'll keep doing what I've always done, no shot for me, if I get sick I'll stay home and rest and drink fluids and take it easy. This thing is overblown. Oh and guess what, my Father in law caught it, stayed home from work for 4 days and is fine now. I'm not about to stand in line for 5-6 hours and probably get sick standing there with all the people sniffeling and coughing in line.

Really? No offense but is that just an assumption you're (understandibly) making? You'd have a hard time empirically proving that it does save lives. Confirmed cases of H1N1 deaths are far between. "There is no evidence that any influenza vaccine thus far developed is effective in preventing or mitigating any attack of influenza. The producers of these vaccines know that they are worthless, but they go on selling them anyway." Dr. J. Anthony Morris, former Chief Vaccine Control Officer and research virologist, U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Quote from 1997. According to the World Health Organization itself, the "swine flu", to date, has been relatively benign, with most people recovering within a few days, often without any medical treatment. Hope you don't turn out like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mScGC7nF ... r_embeddedJust sayin'.

The more junk you let the government shoot in your veins, the less capable your own body is to fight any kind of infection.
General flu shot is useless if it mutates, which happens every year, and you get dependent on something that doesnt work.
Can only imagine what the H1N1 shot has in it....... no thanks.
Government conspiracy to trick people into becoming drug dependent automatons perhaps..

What your doctor says is that seasonal flu shot doesn't mean you won't get the flu since it only protects against 3 strains.

Okay I'm going to just go ahead and take your word for that even though I've yet to see any evidence showing that, (and it surprises me you would say that since there haven't been any North american trails I've read about yet that would determine that), even so....my chance of getting the flu is what? 1 in 10000? And then if I get it my chance of dying is what? Another 1 in 100000?
Yet side effects are popping up everywhere.
No thanks.

1976 H1N1 "outbreak" 1 death from flu 500 suffered from serious side effects from the vaccine 25 of those 500 died
As Akh points out, there is no empirical evidence of the true efficacy of the H1N1 vaccine, or any other flu vaccine for that matter.
Even the seasonal flu shot is a crapshoot and the health industry admits it, in a roundabout way. Every year, they travel to China to see which variant is working it's way around, then take a guess and actually use 2-3 different flu viruses.
So let's pretend that IF you get the RIGHT flu shot and IF it actually did work, in any given year hundreds of millions of people and potentially everyone, could wind up innoculated against the wrong strain and thus would prove worthless.
Sort of a vaccination roulette if you will.

No thanks. 5-10% of the population gets the flu every year. That's more like 1 in 10-20 than 1 in 10000. Plus, they expect much more people would get that flu since it is more virulent. So that could be 30-35% without vaccination. That's 1 in 3. Why risk it while a simple little shot can protect you ?
