I keep hearing on the news that these "migrants" are Tamil Tigers, which if true would exclude them from being granted refugee status since Canada still considers the LTTE a terrorist organization.

I guess they misjudged the crossing time, so it must have come as quite a shock for them to find out that the Liberals weren't the Government anymore.

I think that's just my wild accusations. Even if they were Ex-Tigers, there's no way they'd ever admit it. I'm sure they'd say their poor, simple anonymous persecuted Tamils who had nothing to do with the civil war.
The fact that there's been no repercussions or a round up of the Tamils is going to make it hard to claim they'll all be persecuted if they return.

I'll be very suprised if any of these 'refugees' get refused.

We don't have the collective balls to deny anybody coming in here free access to everything we have, even if they are bad guys, cheats or liars.

We lost control of who we let in years ago.

Unfortunately any scammer can get a Canadian passport. Wait 3 years, pass the easiest tick-test test in the world.
Get a nice blue passport and become a hypenated-Canadian.

You don't even need to speak one of the official languages and a criminal record won't stop a thing.

And if you go back to the land that 'oppressed' you each summer, we won't mind at all! Don't forget to bring over your old relatives because healthcare is free!
