Wow. Just wow. How anyone could think that was a good idea is beyond me. You replaced the person in the ad who is supposed to have AIDS with a Hitler look alike and people aren't supposed to interpret it as people with AIDS are like Hitler? HIV is a virus. It doesn't do what it does out of malice. You can't personify a virus. It's not going to get offended and go away.

Yuck. One should be able to get across a simple message without something so...revolting. Unnecessary shock value can distort and obscure your original message.

Same as that texting ad on British TV. Zealots get so carried away with their message that there is no bar too low for them. Shocking yes, but an insult to the intelligence of its intended viewers also.

AIDs is a killer, Hitler was a killer. Anyone who has AIDs and has unprotected sex is a killer.... True, true and true.

Well I would disagree with the ad's contention that "AIDS is a mass murderer." AIDS is a virus, so is, in my not-so-expert opinion, incapable of forming the required mens rea which is a necessary element of the crime.

When I saw the headline this came instantly to mind...
Kids in the Hall also came up with this gem involving sex and hitler, enjoy!

The sad thing is this day and age we need to rely on shock ads. Nothing seems to get through to the younger generations.
