Maybe he means that she'll drive voters away from the party.

I believe that was the moderate McCain pretending to be right wing, and not Sarah Palin, lol.

Anyway, yeah. Tough it up Toronto, we in Windsor have been dealing with this shit for a while now, life will move on with your indoor pools closed. Garbage issues? Pay somebody with a pickup truck to deliver it somewhere

While this Minister was not being very diplomatic or smart, I'm hard-pressed to disagree.

Now it has the smell to match it's image. A lot of the recent immigrants from the Third World won't be so homesick now.

I wonder what would happen if someone referred to her Chrysler constituents as "a bunch of babies". Another day, another dumb comment from a politician.

I think the sentiment really is that most of us are tired of Toronto thinking it's a special case.

Miller is a big union guy and actually joined the picket lines during the 2002 garbage strike. He and his NDP chums are too allied to CUPE to deal with them effectively.

Now we have Miller whining about the Feds not picking up the tab for TTC cars made in France and assembled in Thunder Bay.

The infrastructure money is for the municipalities infrastructure, not France's or Thunder Bay's.

Every other municipality in Canada has submitted bids for this cash accordingly but Miller chose to ignore the bidding process because he thinks both he and Toronto don't have to follow the rules that the rest of Canada has to. Typical arrogance.

Even Olivia Chow is piping up now about blaming Baird for the failed bid instead of holding Miller accountable. Typical.

Blame Miller for the garbage strike.

Blame Miller for cocking up the bid for federal cash.

Toronto is just another Canadian city, albeit a bit smellier than most.

$1:
Toronto's Canada Day celebrations cancelled
Last Updated: Friday, June 26, 2009 | 9:28 AM ET Comments256Recommend115CBC News

It's appears Canada Day is going to be a big fizzle in many parts of Toronto, with festivals, celebrations — even the city-sponsored fireworks display — cancelled.
City officials say they cancelled the festivities because of the continuing strike by municipal workers.

Waaa. Poor us.
Nice little tantrum you got going there, Toronto.
