Here�s my theory of what happened. There was lots of grain left in the fields last fall because of the weather and couldn�t get it combined. Now a days farmers are allowed to spray the crops with round up to kill it so they can straight combine it. ( harvesting with out swathing it ) And the animals found one of these fields.

But I also agree with the fish guys, they could very well have froze their nutz off also, it was just that kind of winter.
