In their defense, they weren't facing the front of the bus, they were drinking, and it was night. I find it odd that people can sit here and joke about people dying.

OMG what a terrible accident...
It happens quite often in Holland, where the overpasses are just 4.10m... No open busses there, but when you open the emergency exit in the roof, and stick your head out, you die. Busses and trucks are 4m high...
