Oh goodness. Why was he going to that school in the first place? Now he's going to milk this gravy train for all it's worth. I hope the media doesn't make this into a mess.

The Kenny Loggins "Footloose" theme must have been playing in the background. Book-burning and queer-bashing at the prom is A-OK. Dancing not so much.

I'd look at a suspension from that "school" as a badge of honour.

He knowingly broke the rules.... now he can be a man and face the consequences.

I'm not disagreeing but in reality, he has done what men have done since the beginning of time....he thought with the small head.....lol

I feel bad for those kids, because most of the time those are the kids that get messed up and confused later in life.

I strongly question that. Are you serious? Those must be pretty large degrees, or by "Muzzie fundies" you don't mean the ones that have women wear burkas and stone people for adultery.
Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Well, to be honest, most kids are put into religious schools through their parents.

Kids don't get much of a choice with some parents.
Kids don't get much choice because it is their parents' decision. I can understand the desire for your own ability to choose, but until he reaches the age where he can make his own decisions, he should follow through with the rules as they stand, barring abuse or extenuating circumstances, for which this fairly obviously doesn't qualify.

That's a stereotype! I'm not that messed up!

What is the role of a parent, in your view?

A bit simple, but we can work with that. Does the parent have authority to compel the child to act in a certain manner, in order to, in the parent's view "not fuck up the child"?
