$1:
New Brunswick Education Minister Kelly Lamrock has said he will do everything in his power to make morning singings of O Canada mandatory.

So it will be forced...

Yeah, and what a victory it is!

First we had people complaining that singing the anthem was banned, and now they're looking to make it mandatory in all schools!

Yay freedom!

Individuals will still be free to not sing. You can't force someone to sing an anthem.

No, but they're trying to force the chools to play it every day.

And? Does that violate someones rights?

Were anyone's rights violated by not playing the anthem?

Nope. Just common sense thrown out the window.

It's common sense to make playing the anthem mandatory daily in schools?

Interesting POV.

I'm going to stop arguing with you because If I continue I'll probably say something to you that won't be pleasant. I think at this point you know you're wrong so you are making it up as you go along. Well done. Nice chatting with you.

Starting at a young age to get the kids to be more involved in their country's culture and songs is good because those teen years are just up ahead and we all know what that was like.

Basically it comes down to playing the song to actually singing it. Singing it should be ones choice and the beauty of the mouth is that you can actually convey a message with nothing coming out of it. :)
