Here's my bottom line. It's our anthem, so sing it, or just stand quietly at attention. If you don't like it adn feel that you can't accept that after all the bending over backwards we've already done for you, then GTFO. God should stay out of the classroom unless the classroom is a world-religions class. This is the NATIONAL ANTHEM, which doesn't even come CLOSE in comparison.

I think it's up to the parents to teach their kids about their country and their religion. Keep them both out of my kids schools. I want my child to practise the ABCs, I'll worry about the Anthem and explaining that santa clause and god aren't real.

Wow, I don't think I've seen anyone compare the anthem and religion like that.

you would be in favor of getting rid of all liberal arts programs?

since we should only teach our kids the ABC's we wouldn't want them to become well rounded educated students now would we

I agree completely but with one more reason. Canada exists and deserves respect. I can't say the same for God.

I believe education is over rated and we should all resort back to wall pictographs... apperently. Man you really nailed it. You're so smart it's hurting my head. You noticed that I said the school should teach our kids ABCs and you took it literally, you're a fucking genious. You really want me to type out everything that I think should be on the school cariculum? You're a smart man, words can't describe how smart you are.

"Wow, I don't think I've seen anyone compare the anthem and religion like that."

You didn't read my post correctly. There were no comparisons at all. Least of all between the Anthem and religion, that thought doesn't even make sense. Apperently I said that the anthem, santa clause, and god aren't real. I don't believe that the anthem exists apperently. You're a smart cookie too.

Sure you did. You said both should be taught at home as if they had something in common that should keep them out of schools. Why should they both be taught at home?

How do you defend something that isn't being attacked? I suppose techincally it's possible. However, I think it's more an example of how people like to take what other people say and fill in the blanks with jibberish and ridiculousness then get all flustered and make dumbass comments that don't make sense.
