That is half the problem. If a bill is GOOD for the nation VOTE FOR IT. Dont' play partisan games...
Well, the Bloc was apparently not playing partisan games because they think that the budget would be BETTER for the nation (and of course, their province) with their amendments. The NDP seemed to agree since they were supporting the amendments as well. I don't see anything partisanship there. It fits with their political views.
It could be argued that the only one in the opposition playing partisan games was Ignatieff, since he supported the Conservatives against the politically "liberal" amendments presented by the Bloc.
