There was this little story on the news last night claiming the reason birds fly into windows is because they're drunk from eating old berries.

I kid you not.

It's true,the berries freeze and then ferment,i can watch about 30 a day hammer into my window on this side of my house,if they dont break their neck they are usually sobered up in a few minutes(fast metabolism) and fly away.Saskatoons and mountain ash berries seem to be the best.I hang surveyor ribbon in front of my windows and it cuts down on the deaths a bit.
