CBC Spin Doctors CBC Spin Doctors:
for allegedly throwing a grenade in Afghanistan when he was 15

The terrorist admitted to throwing the damn thing, the whole innocent untill proven guilty idea has fallen on its face.

Let the states keep him, I sure as hell dont want him here.

The only reason I would want him here is to have him tried for high treason, but I don't think Canada would do that, sadly.

What made him make such an admission? Torture?

Nothing matters until he's been proven guilty in court.

He committed a crime against our allies, in a foreign land.
That all takes precedence over him being a Canadian citizen, even if he's just one of convenience.

With just a slight change of timing, those could have been Canadian troops that he killed. I doubt that would phase our anarchist friends though.

He committed a crime

Let's prove that in a court of law.

Who really cares if anything bad happens to any Khadr besides Streaker and the usual anti-establishment crowd?

The whole Khadr clan sum up all that is wrong with our immigration policy and is a reminder of how screwed up the Libs were ( hopefully this has changed with Iggy) on foreign policy. I still remember that picture of Chretien shaking hands with Khadr senior in his hospital bed in Pakistan.

What was it with Chretien and Martin and their sucking up to terrorists?

That does trouble me.
What did Chretien get for springing Daddy Khadr from that Pakistan prison.

Quite a few people, actually:

$1:
An Angus Reid/Toronto Star poll indicates that Canada is still divided in its opinion of Khadr's fate. Of the 1,003 Canadians polled over two days last week, 40 per cent said they would repatriate Khadr to Canada while 38 said he should remain in Guantanamo. Another 22 per cent said they remained undecided.

Looks like there are more who share my view about Khadr than share yours, chap.

Canadians are so wonderfully decent and civilised.

I am far from anti-establishment, and I care.

I also care about people like James Driskell, David Milgaard, Guy Paul Morin, Steven Truscott, and any others who are wrongfully convicted.

http://wrongfullyconvicted.blogspot.com ... ngful.html

Bring him here, try him in a proper court with proper rules of evidence. I have no love for what he may have done (but I'm starting to wonder if he actually did it) but I also have no love of kangaroo courts. Anyone who cares about justice, and not retribution or revenge, should care.

As for the rest of the people in Guantanamo, I saw a really excellent idea. Switzerland is ready to accept them, and treat them properly under international law.

Yes, I imagine he admitted to pretty near anything to Interrogator Number 11.

At this point I dont care if he was or was not tortured, when I was 15 I knew it was morally wrong to go out and throw grenades at people who wouldn’t not have shot at me otherwise. What is stopping him from recanting his story now? He could easily say, "I didnt do anything, the Americans just shot at me, I was tortured to confess!" No I think this kid killed the medic, as for his sentence though he should have time served plus one year. That one year should be spent trying to rehabilitate him to be a useful member of society, (ie high school course, job training, group therapy ect).

After that, nothing else you said really mattered.

I don't believe you. Because you are presumably over 15 now and you think it's OK to torture children.

Fail.
