Wouldn't it be funny if the ice melted to a certon point of a sneak peak tease, than all of a sudden (like it does earth's history) just completly freeze again and go back to normal and all this bickering and rules and military things were all just a huge waste?

That would be pretty funny, something I would like to watch if it ever came.

My mom told me she had practiclly the same thing when she was a kid, the summers would be extra hot and the winters extra cold with extra snow much like now.

I wouldnt worry too much,if it ever did melt most coastal city's would be under water anyways.

why is this the EU's business. I do think Canada does need to work in securing the backing of a major power to our claims, wether it be the US, Russia or the EU.

I've heard lots of talk about building our northern presence, but I can't say I've seen to much coming to fruition.

Lots of chatter on the Arctic Patrol Vessels - but nothing substantial to suggest plans are in or a contract is near to meet the 2013 date. Same with the deep sea port.
