$1:
At the time he was 52 and serving the life sentence for the killing, as well as two rapes, two attempted rapes, acts of gross indecency, break-and-enter and other offences.

"The murder conviction is a result of you picking up a five-year-old girl with the intention of sexually assaulting her in your home, however, when you realized she recognized you, you drowned her," parole documents from the August hearing state.
Shouldn't be a chance at parole for somebody like that.

No rape, murder charge should be ever sentenced concurrent, this POS should be in jail for another 25 years minimum before they even think of parole.

There is in California. (This passed on Tuesday).

http://www.friendsofmarsyslaw.org/

The rights of criminals are not superior to victim’s rights

Victim freedom from intimidation, harassment and abuse throughout the justice process

Criminals must be extradited and brought before California courts even if arrested outside the state

Criminals are sufficiently punished and the punishment will not be undercut or diminished by granting rights & privileges not provided by the U.S. Constitution or California laws

Protection from the defendant, defense attorneys and others acting on the defendant’s behalf

Prevent disclosure of victim’s confidential information

BAIL

Must consider the safety of the victim when setting bail & release conditions

PROSECUTION

Reasonable access to prosecutors and input in the extradition, charges filed, notification and information of pretrial disposition of the case

Oddly enough, it will. Our state attorney general, Jerry Brown, while quite the liberal he is very tough on crime after having been mayor of Oakland. He was pretty glassy eyed about criminals prior to having to see innocent people killed on the street by gang members who were out just to prove they could kill someone. Now he's almost a conservative.

I expect he'll enforce this measure with vigor.

They should at least show a picture of the freak so you could recognize him if he is prowling your neighbourhood during his days out.

What happened to the "unreasonable CPC crime bill" and "Harper dosen't speak for all Canadians"? The system as it is now, isn't working or acceptable to Canadians.

I'd like to see a referendom on the death penalty for specific cases.

Can anyone out there tell me if there ever has been a prisoner in Canada who was denied parole even after serving 25 years? I've been researching this every which way and I come up with goose eggs. My personal opinion for what it's worth is as long as there's someone from the immediate family that can attend a parole meeting and oppose the release then too bad/so sad for the criminal.
