It also occurs to me that a lot of rural people I know, some of them quite wealthy, don't have ID with their street number on it because they don't have street numbers. It's kind of hard to put, "2-1/2 miles east on the highway, then take the grid road to the correction line and turn left at the PMU. You'll see the horses," on a driver's license, after all.
As I said... my drivers license has my P.O. Box listed on it... no street address.
Also, I had no mail addressed to my resident.. just the P.O. Box.
I was still able to register and vote.
