I put hot doggies in a coffee cup in the nuke machine. Give it 2 minutes then turn them upside down and back in the cup 1 1/2 minutes. Cooks them perfectly, cooking time may need to be ajusted depending on power. ROTFL

Just make sure they are level first :lol:

I never use one to cook with. Okay for warming. The one we have at work is spastic at best. One day 3 min will pop a bag of corn well, the next it barely gets the butter warm.

lily lily:
Microwaves heat unevenly?

Who knew? :roll:

You can actually measure the speed of light using the uneven heating of a microwave.

Cover a plate with chocolate chips. Nuke it, but make sure it doesn't spin. Measure the distance from one unmelted group to an adjacent one, or one melted group to the next. That's a half-wavelength of the microwaves. Look on the back, and see if it gives you the frequency of the microwaves.

c = l * f

Where c is the speed of light, l is the wavelength (multiply your measurement by 2) in meters, and f is the frequency in Hertz. Voila!

You can assess the speed of a looter using a microwave too.
Compare his time store window-to-fence carrying the microwave,
a]-on shoulder.
b]-under one arm.
Needs around 4 secs per 40 yards to get it sold
before cops accidentally happen by... 8O

The only appliance I was allowed to use and now it's unsafe.
