Almost makes me think I'd rather live near Chalk River.

Sounds like the only problem affecting her is greed.I have hundreds of them close by and lots of friends who live right under them and no problems heard from any of them.

$1:
Her soon-to-be released book, Wind Turbine Syndrome, documents the litany of health problems experienced by some people who have wind farms near their homes.

not everyone is sensitive to LFV (low frequency vibration)

it is a known issue and can cause serious health affects

ask the navy about how they communicate with subs that are deep underwater and the effect it has on creatures that use sonar to communicate

this isn't an old issue just one the tree huggers like to ignore.

This is the kind of ridiculous folksy knowledge that old people pass on from time to time. I also hear that masturbation causes blindness.

LFV affects underwater mammals because it is extremely intense through a more dense medium. Headaches are one of few believable side effects "caused by" these generators; it may only be a correlation, not a direct cause. Admittedly, headaches -may- be possible from such a device, if you easily get headaches from sound.

Some of the symptoms being put forth are just plain ridiculous - heart problems, digestive problems, eye problems...these are not likely caused by a wind turbine. Due to the age of the people claiming these symptoms, it seems more likely that they are caused by old age.

I mean, OBVIOUSLY, if you "suddenly" start having such symptoms as trouble with eyesight or heart problems within a year of these turbines being put in, it MUST be from the turbines, right? Not because you're adding yet another 365 days onto an already long life?

Let's face it, sometimes people just look for the easiest thing to blame for their problems...not the most realistic things. There's no magical aura created from turbines that causes your eye sight to fail.

That one definatly had a problem as they dont spin that fast.
Found this video with that one and these vertical axis generators are about 30 miles from me,or they were before they got flattened to the ground by a wind gust.
Hope the chinese didnt place any orders. This video was taken when they were experimental as they have been testing them in Alberta about 25 years ago.
