I'm conflicted on this issue. I agree that a taser probably have saved many more lives, since the police aren't using bullets. HOWEVER, sending an electric shock into people sounds risky, especially those with medical conditions, or Pacemakers/other electronic devices that help them live. Pepper spray/bullets are chemical weapons, and people have had allergic reactions to them. Plus, sprays usually need to be used in a close proxmity, and are useless in cases where there is an armed suspect.

I think tasers should be used until we have some sort of magical device to pacify suspects

True, but for something billed as a non-lethal weapon, a lot of people have died after having it used on them.

yup and it's unfortunate...but how many have lived? bet that number absolutely dwarfs the 350 in 8 years.

Hey I agree with almost everything about tasers

it is LESS lethal force than shooting but where I have an issue is the apparent casual use of them instead of old fashioned policing.

Case in point, Vancouver airport
there are others but I won't post them here.
