This is exactly how religion fucks up when it tries to get involved in anything other than religion. Such as politics, medicine, etc.

The people who he treats does not have the same beliefs as him, and want the medicine that his religion deems 'evil'.

No one, but they are worried that some doctors may deceive their patients. That they will with hold information about procedures that doctors consider against god. You can always get a second opinion, but you shouldn't have to find other options due to religious interference.

If a gay couple wish to be married in the military a padre is not bound by law to marry them but he bound by law to recommend a padre who is willing to conduct the ceremony. I think the same rule should apply to doctors.

The human mind has a place in medicine. Your own body and brain have alot to do with how you get well or become ill. Belief in anything that has a positive effect is worth while and sometimes our thoughts and will can channel our chemistry to work in a healing way. So belief in anything ie religion, spirituality, mother earth is good for healing.

A doctor is there to treat his/her patients. Not to preach. If he wants to preach his faith, become a priest.
