The Pope said in his homily that the ill should pray to find "the grace to accept, without fear or bitterness, to leave this world at the hour chosen by God."
Why? Do people believe God is sitting around arbitrarily deciding when to pull the plug on everyone? By that logic, shouldn't we scrap medicine entirely, since it's messing with the hour chosen by God?
Sorry, tritium, no antibiotics for you, God's apparently decided that you should get an infection and die. Try not to be afraid or bitter about it, I'm sure God's got a really good reason.
That's the idiocy of religion for you.
