It seems sad that we still think of immigrants as outsiders when the system that is in place favours those who have money and contacts to properly navigate the immgration system. Many immigrants (who have not committed crimes) who need to come to a safer country with more opportunities are denied when they try the "legal" route.
The reason I say this is there are 6 million illegals in the United States, most of whom are productive residents giving to the U.S. economy.
Sure, sure, some idiot will say they don't pay taxes, or use resources. Why do you think this is not a major issue with the U.S. Gov't.
When you work, they hold back taxes, regardless if you have a Social Security or not. So if you don't claim your taxes at year end and get an average $1,500 refund, how much is the U.S. Social Security making?
$1,500 x 6 million = $9,000,000,000 billion.
