Are they closing factories in other countries too....or is it just Canada????

Never heard of Lavington. Wonder if it will survive this Plant closing.

Hmm....I'm surprised glass isn't used more with the oil crisis and such. Plastic commonly is a product of oil, so you would think companies would use glass more as "environmentally friendly" compared to those who use plastic. Maybe soon there will be a resurgence of that. Glass coke bottles, glass mayo containers (there are some but plastic seems more common), glass ketchup bottles, hell maybe even the old style milk bottles...

Just thinking randomly after driving for four hours...

I agree, plus I found it alot colder than plastic bottles. I mean, I don't know what goes into industrial glass production, but isn't it basically sand?
