If Canada, USA, UK, Japan, etc are least effected then why should we be asked to cut back the most?

No, that's Dion's position.

Oooh right he actually thinks his shell game will help them.

If Canada is best suited to weather the effects of global change I see no reason to place hardship ("The Green Shaft") on the Canadian populace for negligible benefit.

Canadian interests first. Everyone else second.

This is interesting. I recall that a few years ago we were being told that Canada would be one of the worst affected countries.

"Worst"? Probably most. At least as far as Temperature change as can be seen in the Arctic. If this study is accurate, don't mistake "escaping the dangers.." with having no negative affects. There will likely be severe costs in restructuring.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
So... No Sunny Beaches in February? :(

So you're willing to accept global warming so you can have warm winters?

In fact, what kind of bizaro world is this where the world grows steadily colder, and they want us to stalk up on sun tan lotion.

It seems to be a little known fact. Climate change can mean change in either direction. If the world continues to cool as it has been lately we here in Canada are screwed.

We'll be seeing a lot more stories like this one...

Cold spring could cost B.C. cherry growers tens of millions

Hotter summers. That would be nice. We're still waiting for that one over on the West Coast.

World wide it looks like this...

Graph: They have June 1988 and June 2008 marked off because those are the dates of warming alarmist Jim Hansen's 2 speeches to congress telling us a catastrophe of warming is coming.

Here's what the cooling looks like from 2002.
