And when they go to fight a war, they accidently use blanks instead of real bullets!

The soldier who can't tell the difference between blanks and live ammunition for sure, but what about the officer/MCO who thought it would be cool to violate all firearm handling rules and "shoot" at people?

My god, if they hurt that many civilians during a demo of hostage-freeing techniques I'd hate how many would get nailed during th real deal.

true rain but The fault is way before that I think. I'm not positive about how they do things in France but here we have to check all magazines we fire. The difference between a blank and a real round is unmistakeable and if the mag was checked there's no doubt he would have missed it. If the mags were preloaded than whoever loaded them up would have a lot of explaining to do. As well as whoever supplied the ammo that was supposed to be blanks.
