The North American Union should fix this problem by removing the border entirely. Who needs it anyhow?? :) :)

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
*shoots tritium in the knee*

I do.

XD yeah, yeah.. so I'm tolling a little.

I am just tired of the border B.S., there has to be a better way.

I like the CNMI's Constitution. A territory of the USA, has it's own immigration policies and customs, still a Commonwealth nation, U.S. citizens can not own property there, but if you are born in CNMI, you are automatically a U.S. Citizen. :D

CNMI = Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands

Talk about having the USA by the short hairs. LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!

30 minutes to an hour isn't a big deal at that crossing, and most Canadians would be travelling north today, not south.

You must live very far from a border, since the Canadian dollar being so high, almost all of our purchases are on the US side.

Being its a holiday here means many Canadians go shopping. Its always been like that when the dollar is at or near par. And combine that with the good ole boys at U.S. customs, and you have grid lock.

I live within 30 minutes from the border and I make ALL my purchases on the Canadian side.. The money spent on gas, idling for a minimum 30 minutes to cross the border and back is not worth it, I'd much rather stay on this side.. Saving 5 bucks is not worth my time

Strange, since I live right on the border, and I see at the Ambassador bridge hundreds , if not thousands of cars, going across daily...especially on weekends, stopping at the Duty Free shop for what is the best gas prices on both sides of the border, and shopping on the US side.

I think you just get screwed when you shop, unless you actually fill out those forms to get duties on the crap you buy.

Why strange? I have much better things to do with my life than spending a whole day on the weekend going shopping in the US. Good for people who don't have anything else to do and can save 20$, but for me, that's 20$ not worth saving..
