Umm ya..it happened in Vancouver b/c they lost the cup.... Nothing to do about a 1st round event.

Anything else happen to other team in the NHl in the 1st round? Nope... Its just a classless fanbase that needs to be removed. It is truly not giving the NHL a good image.

It is always a bunch of morons. Most fans are fans...

I hope the big guys watch Europe and soccer, so they can learn from the mistakes made there. Don't let it happen again!

This is a disgrace.

It's the bandwagon jumpers that cause the problems, the ones that can't tell the difference between a beach ball and a hockey puck.

I doubt there were very many fans involved..it was just an excuse for some to cause trouble.

Safe to say it wasn't real hockey fans doing this, I noticed alot of the people doing this were caught on camera. I hope they catch them and place them on a flat bed and parade them down St-Catherines street were everyone can hurl tomatoes at them.

Strange we had the red mile last year in Ottawa on elgin st. After every game it they shut down the street and it turned into a big-ass street party, not one car vandalized, not one window broken. Right to the end, not one incident.

GO HABS GO !!!

I recall a few years back when the Jay's were in the World Series and won a game.....in a town here nearby....vehicles were over turned and store windows broken by very small groups of vandals. It was just an excuse. Nothing in the papers or media about it. My buddy had his S10 put on it's roof.

However, Canada's image is secure. It seems our hockey hooligans are a match for european soccer hooligans.

Now there would be a spectacle. Put both in a hockey rink and see who wins the fight. My money is on Montreal.

Not really...

We don't have hundreds of drunk "fans" rushing the ice surface...

Groups of "fans" don't travel to a rival city for the soul purpose of getting completely shit-faced and terrorizing the host city...

Our hockey arenas don't have fenced off sections topped with barbed wire to keep opposing fans separated...

A few losers in Montreal just does not compare. Any European familiar with soccer hoologanism is wonding what all the fuss is about.
